Some of the information could use a boost. Larry met Di Sabatino before the movie about Lonnie which was done in 2006 right? I mean I'm not a follower of David's work..but Larry and he had previous acquaintance unless David asked him for rights to use his songs on the movie a long time before the movie came out. And given the interactions I'd seen it's hard to picture them as actual 'friends'.....

In the mid 90's (do a google groups search for author Bob Weigel in rec.music.christian on Norman related topics) I challenged people regarding many accusations against Larry to provide credible substance. I have no prejudice. In fact Larry and I didn't depart on great terms which is sad but I give him much grace on that. It was over a doctrinal dispute but anyway... I just want to see FACTUAL information. (and I'm starting this particular Blog as part of the information gathering process. Please do NOT contact me if you aren't willing to allow me to ask questions that will certify your identity etc. I just got done with some bonehead claiming to be Denny Fridkin the former drummer of people. He clearly read that I'm only looking for information I can certify in some way beyond reasonable doubt. Yet he refuses to answer questions that will even help me certify that I'm actually talking to Denny! )

So I'm getting all these single witness testimonies and *particularly* things that don't even resolve to a sin biblically. So some people didn't like Larry delaying getting some of Mark Heard's tapes fixed up so CD's could be made. Sin? No. It's Larry's dominion. We can't judge because we don't see the whole picture.

Anyway somewhere along the way there David DiSabatino comes into my mailbox with a bunch more gossip. I was meanwhile interacting with Larry and this developed into Larry talking to people like Bruce Brown about some of the issues he had. But Larry also set up an email group and many of those people are still in the yahoo group. But David made an appearance there.

Larry Challenged David to bring forth his complaints against him. And he did. A long list. Larry addressed each and every one. I specifically recall one where David accused Larry of writing 'Pardon me' about Pamela. And thus she would naturally feel offended and want to divorce him from this I suppose was the rationale. HOWEVER Larry replied "OH..hmm..that's really interesting because..I copyrighted that song the year before I met her".

The whole reply was like that. Just one crushing blow after another given in a calm loving way. Larry had a very clear mind to say the least. Liars don't have a clear mind. They are always making up stories to adjust things and then they have to remember all the lies so they don't contradict themself. Larry wasn't like that. I believe Larry's mind was sharp because he was remembering ACTUAL THINGS most of the time. I saw him get a distorted view of an alleged 'long argument' I got into at dinner like I say..but that's understandable because I was answering their question about my take on the pre-trib rapture and I was utterly undoing a doctrine that they had held dear apparently. Anyway..he knows now. -Bob Weigel ...the kind of original internet evangelist guy :-)
